About me
Welcome to Høvisch Design
Me as a crocheter and designer
I started crocheting in 2016 while I was on maternity leave with my oldest daughter. The idea was to make a lot of great toys for my children that could be washed and used over and over again.
Fortunately, some people noticed my crocheting skills, and I started crocheting to order.
It has been an absolutely fantastic journey, which unfortunately there is no time for anymore – the job needs to be taken care of and the family has now grown to four fantastic children.
It didn't take me long to start designing my own recipes.
When I couldn't find what suited me, I had to come up with something myself.
My first brand was SHS Baby Design, but as time went on, my interest in crochet developed and I had to change my strategy.
The brand has changed to accommodate all of me, so this is where I am now. Full of ideas that need to come out through the needle for new crochet items for all seasons, all genders and all ages.
If you are not one of my wonderful followers, I hope you will follow my journey through an incredible world of crochet, where only your imagination sets the limits.
And if you're already on my journey, I want to say a huge thank you.
It is an honor to help inspire and share my enthusiasm for crochet with you.
I wish you the very best in crocheting, and I look forward to seeing what beautiful things you crochet.
Me as a private person
My name is Signe and as you may have guessed, Høvisch is a part of me. It's my middle name, a name I'm very proud of, so of course it had to be part of my new brand.I live in Ballerup with my family, which consists of my husband and our four children from '12, '16, '18 and '21.
My family and my other network are my strength.
I am a trained educator, and I have worked in a nursery and as a resource educator in daycare institutions.
Working with and about people is one of the most meaningful jobs I could imagine, and I will always be an educator deep in my heart.
Now life has taken me on a new journey, and I am training to become an event coordinator.
Here I am still allowed to do relational work while also being able to work creatively and express myself aesthetically.
