Crochet pattern Easter egg tumbler - This adorable Easter egg can be made with and without tumbler.
If you want to make a nice little Easter egg for the youngest in the family, the recipe is designed to include a tumbler. It makes the most lovely musical sound and ensures that the egg always straightens up again when the child pushes it.
Your child will love the sensory stimulation, work on their eye/hand coordination, and enjoy seeing the effect of their movements as the egg tilts.

It is also possible to make the beautiful Easter egg as a decoration for yourself or someone you love. The alternative is granules in the base and filling. The egg will look great on the shelf or maybe even as a table decoration on the Easter table.

The pattern shows how to make the embroidery with a detailed picture guide, and I have shown three different possible designs.
But only your imagination sets the limits to how your flowers should look.

Info:

In general, for my recipes, the needle size can be changed to suit your own crochet strength.
With needles other than those listed, there may be size variation compared to my figures, but it doesn't matter much as long as you are consistent in your choices.
However, with this recipe, it may be necessary to add or remove rounds to fit around the tumbler - this is also noted in the recipe.

Materials:

  • Crochet hook 3.0, or according to your own crochet tension
  • Cotton yarn 8/4, 170 m per 50 grams
    Off-white = 15 grams
  • Mercerised cotton yarn, lace, 280 m per 50 grams
       Army green = 200 cm
    Old rose = 300 cm
    Light yellow = 100 cm
  • Tumbling ball, 6.5 x 7.5 cm
  • Alternative to tumble ball:
    Filling = 5 grams
Granules in nylon stocking = 40 grams
  • Needle for both yarns
  • Scissors
